Training & Development at alderwell care

At AlderWell Care, we know that great care starts with great carers. That’s why we are committed to providing high-quality training and continuous professional development for every member of our team.

Initial Training & Induction

Every new team member completes a full induction programme before beginning their role. This includes:

  • The Care Certificate in line with national standards
     
  • Safeguarding and protection of vulnerable adults
     
  • Infection prevention and control
     
  • Moving and handling techniques
     
  • Medication awareness and safe administration
     
  • First aid and basic life support
     

This ensures all our carers start with the knowledge and skills needed to provide safe, person-centred care.

Ongoing Professional Development

Learning doesn’t stop after induction. At AlderWell Care, we provide regular refresher training and opportunities to develop specialist skills, including:

  • Dementia care and Alzheimer’s support
     
  • End-of-life (palliative) care
     
  • Mental health awareness
     
  • Nutrition and hydration in care
     
  • Equality, diversity, and inclusion training

Career Progression

We believe in recognising talent and helping our staff grow. With us, you can:

  • Work towards NVQs and diplomas in Health & Social Care
